The Project Somos 10-Night VolunTour Auction Prize

Prize Description:

A 10-night VolunTour trip for one to Guatemala to volunteer with Project Somos this December! Prize retail value is $2100!

This prize includes the following:

-Economy airfare from a Canadian gateway city to Guatemala City return, including all taxes and fees donated by Flight Centre Canada

-A 10-night VolunTour with Project Somos donated by El Camino VolunTours which includes:

-10 nights accommodation

- All ground transportation including airport pick-up

-Most meals

-Fun Excursions

-Bilingual tour leader

The set dates for this VolunTour are December 13 – 23, 2012, and will include a visit to the Iximche Mayan Ruins on December 21, the day the 5,126-year cycle ends and a new one begins! No, it is not the end of the world, it is a new beginning for mankind, and a major celebration for the Mayan people. This tour will have a maximum of 14 people, and will be lead by Chris Buckshaw, the founder of El Camino VolunTours.

***IMPORTANT TO NOTE***

The bidding on this item begins tonight at the Fiesta, but will continue online on the Project Somos website until November 1, 2012 at 12 noon. This will allow those both at the Fiesta and those not at the Fiesta to bid on this item and plan for the trip. The highest bidder will be awarded the prize.

Please note that the minimum bid-raising increment is $50. Each bid submitted will be taken seriously and you will be required to honour it.

Type the amount of your bid in Canadian Dollars. Please be careful to type this number correctly. You will be responsible for this amount if your bid wins the auction item.

You will receive an email confirming your bid has been received.

The final deadline for bidding in November 1, 2012, at 12:00 noon. We will announce the highest bidder and winner of the auction prize at that time.

Rules:

-This prize may be given as a gift if you choose to do so.

-Once the person has committed and the airfare and VolunTour is booked, there can be no changes made in regard to the person traveling.

-The prize winner will need to be available for the specified dates.

-The prize winner will need a valid passport that expires no earlier than June, 2013.

-Canadian or US citizens do not require a special Visa to enter Guatemala, but if your nationality is different, you may need to purchase a Guatemalan Visa. Keep in mind there may not be enough time to do so.

-The prize winner is subject to the terms and conditions of Project Somos, Flight Centre Canada, and El Camino VolunTours.
