Our Summer Match Campaign is live!
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Summer Match Campaign, running now through 31st July. Thanks to two generous donors, every gift made during this time will be matched dollar for dollar – up to $25,000. That means your donation will go twice as far to support education, healthcare, nutrition, and opportunity for Guatemala’s rural youth and families.
A Community Dream, Realised
This May, we opened the doors to our brand-new Community Health Centre in Aldea Chivarabal. It’s already serving over 1,000 people, and it exists because of the incredible partnerships we’ve built with community leaders, the Ministry of Public Health, and supporters like you.
The clinic has a beautiful backstory. In 2013, a young Canadian named Matthew Boroditsky visited our project. After returning home and being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, he used his wish from the Children’s Wish Foundation to fund a health clinic for the families he had met here. A decade later, that wish became a reality. Today, the clinic is locally staffed and thriving, a true community-led solution.
From Curiosity to Confidence
Another success we’re proud of is our technology program. Our vision is bold: to prepare our students to become trilingual: fluent in Spanish, English, and Technology.
It all starts with sparking curiosity. When Alexis joined our tech class, he was fascinated by computers, but couldn’t even use a mouse. Each click was a struggle. Still, he didn’t give up. Week after week, he kept practicing. Slowly, it started to click, literally. Now, Alexis is one of our most enthusiastic and confident students, even helping his classmates along the way.
His journey is a beautiful reminder that learning doesn’t begin with talent – it begins with opportunity, encouragement, and the courage to try again.
One Goal. One Gift. One Path Forward.
Your donation, matched until 31st July, helps children like Alexis access meaningful learning, and helps families like those in Chivarabal receive vital healthcare close to home.
