Dorm rooms for volunteers, a community hall, a staff building, a preschool, a soccer field, and a vibrant playground.
The large community hall is used for gatherings for students and families, as well as for our volunteer groups, and is rented out for events as a social enterprise to support the Village.
The staff housing, homes and community hall were designed by Guatemalan architect Cecilia Rodriguez to have an inherent beauty and harmony – something which we believe is essential to healing.
Check out this video on how we build sustainably using the technique of earth-bag construction.
The music, art & culture dome is a special place for the students to express their creativity and find their passion through art and music — learning to play in a productive, creative way.
In addition to serving as a children's classroom, the dome is a therapeutic space for our families to heal through music and art therapy, one of the avenues the student’s mothers can also use to overcome past trauma and develop self-confidence.
