Volunteering as a family at Project Somos is  an eye-opening opportunity to have an impactful and bonding experience together. You will  learn and interact with the Somos kids and staff together. Your children will be able to participate in activities with the Somos kids. Everyone will  participate in meaningful work together. This experience will be life-changing for everyone! 

Come to Project Somos as a family for a week-long adventure. Join or gather  other families who want a similar type of experience! 

After welcoming over 500 volunteers (and many families!) since 2011, Project Somos is well prepared and well set up to provide this safe and special experience for all! 

We have dormitory style rooms that fit up to seven individuals. We have smaller rooms for a couple and one child. Meals are provided. Transportation and excursions are included. 

• The facilities are child friendly and include three different playgrounds and a soccer field.
• The Learning Village is a safe and secure location, nestled in a pine forest, near a small Mayan Village.
• We can accommodate multiple families at a time.
• Spanish language fluency is not a barrier for connection between the children, in fact it is an asset for the Guatemalan children to be exposed to English.
