DIY (Design it Yourself) Volunteer Trips
Do you have a passion that you want to share with other like-minded people? The Project Somos Learning Village is the perfect place to host a retreat / workshop / conference / seminar.
Project Somos has a beautifully designed Community Hall, guest accommodations and commercial kitchen that can easily host up to 20 people. With a view of 8 volcanoes in the distance from the huge patio and terraces, it is an inspiring landscape for any specialized event you would like to plan.
Our group trips typically run from a Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning. Guests fly into Guatemala City and normally spend the night at a hotel close to the airport for the first night. From there, guests either head straight to the Project the following morning after breakfast, or start with an excursion at either Antigua or Lake Atitlan. Volunteering opportunities happen Mondays through Fridays.
We can customize the onsite volunteer experience so it works with your aims and goals of the specialized event. We can also facilitate finding local resources to enable a successful event. We have hosted photography workshops and singer-songwriter volunteer trips and included a wide variety of activities which enhanced the participants overall experience.
