Deborah Armour
Deborah Armour is the Chief Legal Officer for the Law Society of BC. For most of her legal career, she has held senior in house positions with various corporate and regulatory bodies which positions have included General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer. She is adjunct faculty at UBC Law School teaching Ethics and Professionalism. She has served on the board of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association and the Audit Committee of the Law Society of British Columbia and been actively involved in many other organizations.
Deborah has been to the Project Somos family village in Guatemala twice including a volunteering trip with her husband and 2 sons.
Joe Fiorante
Joe is a Vancouver native and the managing partner of Camp Fiorante Matthews, a Vancouver law firm which specializes in complex aviation, product liability and class action cases. The firm has an extensive history of pro bono representation of the disadvantaged and representation of victims in mass tort and product liability cases. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and Litigation Counsel of America and a former Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Aviation and Space Law group.
Joe and his wife Karen Chua have been married for 20 years and have four school age children. His interest in Guatemala stems from his back packing travels in the country in the early 1990’s.
