During the COVID-19 crisis, Project Somos has pivoted to focus on reaching children and families in need by providing food through the Somos Food Bank program. With your support, we will have fed 10,000 people in 2020. The infographic below shows some of the impact we have been able to make so far through the Food Bank.
Food Bank Facts
With the current pandemic lockdown, families who were already living in extreme poverty now have no access to employment, public transportation, food, or social safety nets.
In the last quarter, we have reached 10,000 people with our food bank.
A family of 5 receives about 30 pounds of food which costs $30.
